About MeThis will be my 10th year at Bailey Middle School as a Dance Educator and I truly love what I do! Watching students learn, grow, and develop an appreciation for Dance is my greatest reward as a teacher. I hail originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, and have been in North Carolina since my college years at Elon, where I majored in Exercise Science, with a minor in Dance & Business. I then pursued my MAT at Queens University, in Charlotte, for Elementary Education. I studied Dance for over 18 years with a phenomenal dance studio in the Philadelphia area where I was exposed to ballet, jazz, modern and lyrical, then went on to continue my Dance studies at Elon where I further developed my technique and understanding of Dance in Education, and was exposed to other genres and grew my choreography skills. I live in Huntersville with my husband, Brian, and our two sons, Alex, 13, who also attends Bailey Middle School and is in 8th Grade, and Ben is 10 and in 5th Grade at Huntersville Elementary (these two keep me on my toes literally and figuratively!), and our four-legged kid pit mix, Henry, 5 yr.
